The 46 was never very popular because of itīs lower power output and the vulnerable single belt variomatic. Remarkable is the fact that the 46 was sold as a Daf even after the Volvo take over in 1975. Apparently Volvo thought the 46 wasnīt worth to bear the name Volvo, even when it was sold in Volvo garages.
