Models
The cars Daf produced kan be categorized on engine type or body size. 
Daf used two types of engines: 2-cylinder boxer engines (600/750/30/31/32/33/44/46) and 4-cylinder engines (55/66). They also used two different body sizes: the smaller A body (600/750/30/31/32/33) and the larger B body (44/46/55/66). In spite of all these differences, all Daf models were built according to the same philosofy: a small affordable car with an automatic transmission.
It is this automatic transmission that gave the Daf´s an advantage and disadvantage at the same time. Advantage because of it being the only small affordable car with automatic transmission. Disavadvantage because it gave the car an unsporting image, the image of a car for handicapped or elderly people.
